The compulsory school day
At Lady Margaret Primary School, the compulsory school day begins with registration at 8.45 am and ends at 3.15 pm when pupils go home.
In line with DfE requirements, in a typical school week pupils are at school for 32 hours and 30 minutes.
This does not include any extra curricular activities that a pupil may choose to participate in.
The normal school day is broken down as follows:
Nursery
8.30 am – 11.30 am
12.30 pm – 3:30 pm
Reception
8.45 am – 12.00 pm
1.00 pm – 3.15 pm
Key Stage 1
8.45 am – 12.20 pm
1.20 pm – 3.15 pm
Key Stage 2
8.45 am – 12.20 pm
1.20 pm – 3.15 pm
Soft Start
At LMPS we offer a soft start to the school day, this means that children can come into class from 8.35 am which gives them time to settle down and prepare for the school day.
