We recognise that some pupils, due to financial limitations, may have reduced access to opportunities. We are committed to developing a secure understanding of the specific needs of individuals and the barriers they may face, providing support and guidance which has a positive impact on their learning. This work starts prior to on entry to early years, thus we have a highly focussed document outlining our work with families of our youngest pupils.

Pupil Premium

The pupil premium grant is funding to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in state funded school in England.

Pupil premium funding is available to:

  • Local-authority-maintained schools, including special schools, pupil referral units (PRUs), and voluntary-sector alternative provision (AP)
  • Special schools not maintained by the local authority (NMSS)
  • Academies and free schools, including special and AP academies

Early Years Pupil Premium 

The early years pupil premium (EYPP) is extra funding that local authorities (LAs) give early years providers to support disadvantaged children under the age of 4.
