Parent Ambassadors

We place emphasis on the parent ambassador role to strengthen the partnership between home and school. Their role is to support parents to understand and access the opportunities the school provide. They can help in any way that supports a parent to ensure their child thrives at school.

Our Parent Ambassadors work under the direction of senior leaders to:

  • Provide an opportunity for all parents to engage in school activities.
  • Support and promote the role of parents in children’s learning.
  • Offer interpreting and translation support in different community languages.
  • Assist with the admissions of new pupils and provide support to families during the induction process, e.g. by explaining daily routines, school documentation and policies.
  • Are available for parents to talk to on duty before school and at the end of the school day. Parents can talk about any school related queries or if they require support for other family welfare matters.
  • Signpost parents to sources of advice, information and guidance.
  • Promote events running in school and consult with parents about suitable events.
  • Deliver training workshops for parents such as ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).
  • Attend parent’s evening and support parents with feedback from  teachers.
  • Promote the importance of good attendance across the school.
