Come and Work With Us

Teaching is the heart of our federation. It is not just about lessons – it is about shaping lives, inspiring dreams, and creating building blocks for future success. Sir John Jones uses the “butterfly effect” as a metaphor in education to illustrate how small actions by staff can create profound, long-lasting impact on pupils and society. Every member of staff here is a catalyst for change, guides who turn curiosity into knowledge and challenges into success. We ignite interest, nurture resilience and create strong foundations for every child to thrive.

Miss Simpson

• Joined LMPS in 2011
• Joined as NQT
• Current role is Head of School

LEARNING

Since joining LMPS my practice has gone from strength to strength through the many learning opportunities I have been given here.

It first began when I was an NQT. I was provided with a mentor and the training giving was bespoke to my needs. This included collaborating and team teaching with colleagues within my school and also having the opportunity to work with colleagues from in and around the London area.

Since then, I have completed the NPQML, NPQSL, National accreditation for Special Educational Needs and I have also become a Specialist Leader in Education (SLE), which allows me to support and delivery training to other primary schools in the area.

MOTIVATION

LMPS is a wonderful place to work due to the pupils, staff and community.

All staff, at all levels, are encouraged to improve and develop their role and the SLT carefully considers opportunities for bespoke training, enabling staff to reach their full potentials year on year.

PROGRESS

Staff are encouraged to reflect on their own practice and we do this through peer observations and professional discussions.

These take place at least termly. In addition to this, staff are given opportunities throughout the year to review research, implement new ideas and strategies and reflect in order to develop their own practice further.

SUCCESS

I feel I have been extremely successful in my time here. I have gone from an NQT, to computing leader, English leader, KS2 manager, KS1 phase leader, lead practitioner, NQT leader and now deputy headteacher.

I have always been dedicated, reflective, eager to learn and ambitious. Due to this, I have been given many learning opportunities, which have particularly excelled since Helen Rai became the headteacher.

• Joined LMPS in 2015 • Joined as an ECT • Current role is Assistant Head of Lower School • Current subject leader in Phonics Lower school reading and writing

LEARNING

Since joining LMPS, I believe I have excelled in my practice due to the numerous learning opportunities I have experienced. I began teaching at LMPS as an ECT and was provided with a range of opportunities to develop my CPD through a bespoke training schedule. In my second year of teaching, I was given the opportunity to lead a year group, which was something I was very eager to take on. I was incredibly grateful for this experience and aspired to excel in leading a subject. The following year, I was appointed as Phonics Lead, a role I have continued to develop since. This year, I have taken on the role of Assistant Head of School, further enhancing my leadership journey.

MOTIVATION

LMPS is a welcoming, vibrant, and supportive place to work, fostering a strong sense of community among staff. The school has a warm and sociable atmosphere, making it an enjoyable and fulfilling environment. All staff members are approachable, helpful, and always willing to support one another, which is especially valuable when settling into a new school. The collaborative culture at LMPS ensures that everyone feels valued and empowered to grow both personally and professionally.

PROGRESS

At LMPS, we have access to a wide range of CPD opportunities designed to enhance our practice and professional growth. These tailored training sessions and development programs have played a significant role in strengthening my skills over the years. The continuous support and investment in staff development have allowed me to refine my teaching, leadership, and subject expertise. I am incredibly grateful for the many opportunities I have had to progress in my career and to contribute meaningfully to the school community.

SUCCESS

I believe I have been highly successful during my time at LMPS, progressing through a range of leadership roles that have allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. I started as an ECT and have since taken on responsibilities as Year 1 Lead, Phonics Lead, and KS1 and KS2 Reading Lead. More recently, I have been entrusted with the role of Lower School Reading and Writing Lead, further strengthening my expertise in literacy development. This year, I am proud to have stepped into the position of Assistant Head of School, a role that enables me to contribute even more to the school’s strategic direction and the development of both staff and students.

Ms Thakarshi

• Joined LMPS in 2014 • Current role is a Nursery Class Teacher / Nursery Manager • Current year group is Nursery • Current subject leader in EYFS Nursery

LEARNING

Since starting my teaching journey at LMPS I have developed greatly as a teacher. I have taught in Year 3, Reception and now I am the class teacher in Nursery which I absolutely love. I had no experience in teaching in the early years and Helen put her trust in me and allowed me to be a Reception class teacher as soon as I showed interest in working with children in the early years. I have now taught in the EYFS for 3 and a half years and my practice has gone from strength to strength, this is all due to the well organised and targeted CPD opportunities I have been provided with at Lady Margaret Primary School.

MOTIVATION

The children, the staff and the community. It is such a lovely school to work in, being here for 7 years shows that I have been motivated to stay and continue developing my practice. Knowing that we have such a committed team throughout the whole school where each and every individual does their very best to provide the highest standard of education for the children in our local community motivates me every day.

PROGRESS

I have worked as a class teacher, subject leader for Music, Phase Leader and now Nursery Manager. This year I have completed a National Professional Qualification in Leading Teaching. Through termly performance management meetings with my line manager, reviews of practice and conversations with senior leaders at LMPS I have been able to progress through my teaching career to where I am now.

SUCCESS

My greatest success has been working alongside more experienced members of staff and the senior leadership team in transforming our EYFS provision. Over the past few years we have been working really hard to ensure that the early year’s curriculum content and learning opportunities we provide to our very young children is of the highest quality. We have worked hard in developing it to meet the exact needs of the children who attend. Being part of it’s continuous development and seeing the progress children make in our setting gives me great joy.
